AAU Wrestling Utah and You
Utah Wrestling Coaches:
One of the biggest concerns in running an athletic program is liability. If something goes wrong, will the parent of this athlete look for someone to blame for the problem? Will that parent take legal action? One of the current trends is parents seeking legal action for the costs not covered by their primary insurance. That is where secondary insurance comes into play. Secondary insurance helps cover those additional costs, like deductibles, copays and amounts over the policy maximum.
And that is where AAU Wrestling Utah can help.
With an AAU Wrestling Utah Athlete Added Benefit membership ($16 for athletes under the age of 20), your athletes will have that secondary insurance coverage that is superior to other secondary insurance coverage at less than half the cost. With the Added Benefit membership, the athlete member is covered at ANY athletic event, not just wrestling, and the event does not even have to be sanctioned by AAU. So that AAU Wrestling Utah Added Benefit membership will still cover that athlete for AAU baseball in the spring, unsanctioned la crosse, or wrestling events sanctioned by other governing bodies or not sanctioned by any governing body.
If you want that additional coverage at practice (the athlete membership covers events, not practice), you need only register your club as an AAU Wrestling Member Club. It provides all the benefits of Level 1 membership in AAU, as well as secondary insurance at your practices, for only $30.
If you want the same secondary coverage as the athletes for yourself or other adult non-athletes, then you can get an AAU Wrestling Utah Coach's/Non-Athlete Added Benefit membership ($16 for non-athletes under the age of 20, $18 for non-athletes ages 21 and up).
